Today was the school spelling bee. Kylie was chosen along with 2 others from her class with 17 3rd and 4th graders in all. She got to do this last year as a 3rd grader and got 2nd place. She got to attend the city spelling bee which is tough. 3rd grade students have to go against kids all the way up to 8th grade. Weird I think?!?!?!
So this year it was old hat, she was so confident as she walked up to the mike to speak. I was VERY proud of her. She and a good friend of hers were the last two up, which makes it that much harder. They battled it out with 2 words and in the end Kylie had to spell "gadget" and finally "disease". She is off to the city bee again with one more year under her belt. We are super excited and can't wait to see her do her thing. Ok, now to hit spell check......then publish.
